27.02.2019 – 03.03.2019 the largest radiological congress "European Congress of Radiology" was held at the «Austria Center Vienna» exhibition center in Vienna, Austria. ECR is the annual meeting of the European Society of Radiologists (ESR), which represents more than 101,000 members worldwide.
ECR is known as one of the most innovative events in the scientific community, bringing together specialists in the field of radiology. The congress participants are radiologists, doctors of ultrasound and functional diagnostics, medical physicists, heads of health authorities, teachers of radiology departments and courses from around the world.
The staff of the STC-MT company took part in the annual congress of radiologists once again, attended symposiums and seminars, and heard reports from leading experts in the field of medical radiology about new radiological principles and methods, such as:
- "Radiation dose optimization in CT and projection radiography" report
- "High Resolution Tomosynthesis and Synthesized 2D; enhance your personal experience" seminar organized by Hologic
- "Advanced insights on tomosynthesis: clinical outcomes from different acquisition angles, reconstruction methods and pixel sizes" seminar organized by FUJIFILM
- "Redefining imaging with Philips C-Arms" seminar organized by Philips
- "Added Value of Deep Learning CT Reconstruction (AiCE) in Clinical Practice" seminar organized by CANON MEDICAL SYSTEMS
- "Next generation image processing technologies for clinical excellence in digital radiography" workshop organized by Philips (DXR)
The staff of the STC-MT visited the technical exhibition, which is one of the main attractions of the ECR. More than 300 companies took part in the ECR 2019 exhibition, including well-known companies Siemens, GE Healthcare, Philips, etc.
Manufacturers of medical X-ray machines come to the Austria Center Vienna from around the world to demonstrate the best technologies in the field of medical technology and offer new solutions in the field of X-ray diagnostics, imaging and related services.
The artificial intelligence (AI) was presented in the center of the technical exhibition. Modern software solutions in the field of AI, including machine learning, deep learning and neural networks, aim to improve the visualization and informativeness of examinations and are the future in the medical field. Using new, smarter algorithms, it is possible to eliminate artifacts of metallic inclusions, increase the resolution, reduce the dose, while maintaining the quality of the image.
The number of proposals in the field of detectors based on organic TFT panels, as well as large flat panel detectors with built-in energy discrimination mechanisms, has increased. As before, considerable attention was paid to the modernization of analog equipment.
The partner of the STC-MT presented the Digital Wireless Portable X-ray Detector for mammography and the Wired Detector for mammography.
ECR 2019 once again proved to be an excellent platform for the staff of STC-MT to hold meetings and discussions on technical issues, not only with colleagues from other companies and countries, but also to get acquainted with the latest developments in radiology.
